Licensed care and prescriptions

Every consultation is delivered by a practitioner licensed in Ontario and regulated by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) or the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO). Meet our team.

ONRx does not dispense, sell, or deliver medication. Prescriptions are issued at the sole clinical discretion of your provider when clinically appropriate, and are sent electronically to a pharmacy of your choice. A consultation does not guarantee a prescription.

Narcotics and controlled substances are never prescribed through virtual consultations, in accordance with the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (Canada). See Terms of Service, Section 10.

Payment, refunds, and availability

Prices and currency

All prices are shown in Canadian dollars (CAD) and include applicable taxes. Each appointment is a single, one-time charge — ONRx does not bill on a subscription or recurring basis, and no payment method is stored for automatic future charges.

When you receive care

You choose a specific date and time during booking. Same-day or next-day appointments are typically available, and availability is the same whether your visit is paid or OHIP-covered. Times shown at booking reflect actual provider availability.

OHIP-insured services

You are never charged for a service that is insured by OHIP. Where a visit is OHIP-insured, your physician bills the Ministry of Health directly and ONRx collects nothing from you. Fees on this page apply to patients who are not covered by OHIP — including visitors to Ontario, patients without OHIP eligibility, and patients paying privately or through a private insurer — and to services OHIP does not insure. Paying a fee does not provide faster access to an insured service.

Where ONRx is available

Appointments are available to patients who are physically located in Ontario, Canada at the time of the appointment. A valid Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) card is required for OHIP-covered appointments.

Refunds and cancellations

Paid appointments cancelled at least 48 hours before the scheduled start time are fully refundable. Cancellations inside 48 hours, and missed appointments, are not. A full refund is always provided if we cancel and cannot reschedule, if a technical failure on our part prevents the consultation, or for a duplicate charge or billing error. Once a consultation has taken place the fee covers the clinical assessment and is generally non-refundable. Submit requests within 14 days to contact@onrx.ca. Booking and payment

Booking and payment are completed on our secure patient platform at my.onrx.ca. Payment is taken at the time of booking for non-OHIP appointments. OHIP-covered appointments are billed directly to OHIP and require no payment card.

If you do not recognise a charge

Contact us before disputing a charge with your bank — we can usually resolve it the same business day. Our legal name and contact details are at the bottom of this page.

How your payment is handled

Payments are processed by a PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment processor. ONRx never sees or stores your full card number. How we handle your personal and health information is described in our Privacy Policy, and the full payment terms are in our Terms of Service.
